We confirm that we will now require the attendance of the Prosecution Witness
Mr Tim Gordon-Pounder to give evidence at the Trial in this matter.
As you are no doubt aware it is our client's case that when the Horizon System
was upgraded in 2005 apparent losses immediately showed up, the first loss
amounting to £4,000. Our client has instructed us that she consequently
contacted the Post Office and reported the loss which resulted in a Post Office
Official visiting her Branch a couple of weeks later to investigate the problem and
conduct an Audit. Accordingly we would be obliged if you would provide us with
a copy of the file or any other documentation relating to the Audit/Investigation
into the £4,000 shortfall.
We thank you in anticipation for your assistance and we look forward to hearing
from you as soon as possible.
