and I make it knowing that, if it is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution if I have wilfully
stated in it anything, which I know to be false or do not believe true.

I have been employed by, Royal Mail Group (formally known as the Post Office and
Consignia) since 1985. Post Office Ltd employs me as a Security Manager and my duties
include the investigation of crimes committed against Post Office Ltd by its staff and its
agent's employees. I have held this position for 12 months.
I was present with Stephen BRADSHAW on Friday 6" January 2012 at Fazakerley Post
Office branch 404 Longmoor Road Liverpool L9 9DB. An audit was taking place and I
witnessed Anne NIELD hand to Stephen BRADSHAW a letter that she said had been
prepared by both her and Mrs Angela SEFTON. In the letter they stated they had
suppressed Giro deposits from customers.
I can confirm that 40 giro deposit slips and a number of cheque envelopes were recovered
from a cupboard in the counter secure area.

Both Ms Anne NIELD and Mrs Angela SEFTON agreed to attend a voluntary interview at a
later date as they wished to contact their solicitor for advice. They both also agreed to a
voluntary search of their home address.
I was present with Stephen BRADSHAW at
GRO when the
premises of Angela SEFTON were searched. The search commenced at 11:55 and concluded
at 12:30. Nothing was seized.
I was again present with Stephen BRADSHAW at I
when the premises of Anne NIELD were searched. The search commenced at 12:42 and
concluded at 13:15. Nothing was seized.
I was also present with Stephen BRADSHAW on Friday 20" January 2012 when Angela
Mary SEFTON a sub office assistant at Fazakerley 404 Longmoor Road Liverpool L9 9DB
branch was interviewed at Bootle Crown Office The New Strand Washington Parade Bootle
L20 4ED.
Mrs SEFTON requested Legal Representation and Sarah GIBSON (Solicitor) attended on her
behalf and signed form GS001 (Identifying Mark SB/1). Mrs SEFTON declined to have a
Post Office friend present during the interview and signed form GS003 (Royal Mail
Employees Rights to a Friend at an Interview or Search).
The interview was tape-recorded and commenced at 11.18 hours and concluded at 12.22

was interviewed at Bootle Crown Office The New Strand Washington Parade Bootle L20
