The financial investigation is now concluded. A recovery of £5996.68 has
already been received & banked in the Investigation Team recovery
account with a further £3600.00 outstanding.
HH Judge MacRae has today discharged the original restraint order issued
on The 7th November 2006, a signed original copy of that discharge order
has been sent to the Alliance & Leicester, with a copy faxed to the defence
solicitors & our Criminal Law Team.
The Alliance & Leicester should now release the restrained amount of
£4712.04 allowing the outstanding balance of the confiscation order to be
paid by the defendant to the RART (Regional Asset Recovery Team) who in
due course should forward on the balance of £3600 to the Post Office.
A copy of the discharge order has been placed with the FI case file.
