Dear Martin
I have spoken to defence counsel. He assures me that, other than in the case of Jenkins, his cross
examination of our witnesses will be brief. we had therefore better have all absolutely bound witnesses
available for the first day if trial.
I asked him if he could identify the specific defects alleged in the Horizon system so as to assist I
refining the evidence to be given by experts and considered by the jury. He could do no more than say it
was ‘what was on the Internet’, but that a trial seemed inevitable.
I am in holiday in the Highlands of Scotland at the moment and a good signal is not always easy to come
by, so if you need a word please call me this weekend when I will be back home.
