SJD3 having a telephone conversation with Mandy Talbot in the early afternoon - returning
her call to me. She explained that if the Post Office bring a prosecution usually this goes to
Graham Wood for analysis. However, this has not happened in this case and she was trying
to get somebody at the Post Office to identify all the data. She said that there are call logs
from the Horizon Helpline which indicates every sort of all to the Post Office from the Marine
Drive Sub-Post Office to raise any sort of problems with Horizon. She will forward these to
me so that I can identify what the calls were about because these may help.

pohe, also, mentioned somebody called David Hulbert, a Services Manager (Tel:

I He believes that it may be possible to recover the complaints that other Sub-Post
Sess “have made about Horizon, but it would take someone several days to gather all this
information. Anyway, she suggested I contact him about this.

Generally, in relation to the case, I reminded that we had filed the Reply to Defence and
Defence to Counterclaim now and that we were applying to retrospectively extend the time
to file that Reply and in case Default Judgment had been entered, to set any Default
Judgment aside. She said that she thought her and I had got the sharp end of the case, as
the matter had been transferred from Chesterfield to her. I said that we would be obviously
doing all that we could to get the time extension, set aside any Default Judgment if entered
(and it did look like a judgment had been mistakenly entered against Mr Castleton) and, as
instructed, seek to persuade the other side to mediate.

Time engaged: 12 minutes
