I was not able to get through to John on his mobile.
I would be grateful if you could forward this email on to John if he is able to access his emails

The investigation costs are confirmed in the attachement, our prosecution costs are £3498 inc VAT.
Shouls any issues arise regarding a basis of plea offered by the defence. Please contact Jarnail Singh
He is the head of criminal law at the Post Office and has asked to be consulted before
a basis is accepted.
Should a Newton Hearing be required, the witnesses dates to avoid are listed below.

Please see attached recovery of costs. With regard to the charge double check with Jarnail that it is Ok to accept. The
amount to my knowledge is still outstanding.

We have today spoken to the defence in this case who inform us that Mr Allen intends to plead guilty
at tomorrows PCMH on the basis he can not account for the loss but accepts covering it up. Is this a
basis you would be willing to accept? He has been charged with fraud by false rep.
Please can you send to me a schedule of your investigation costs and let me know what the
outstanding amount is.
In case the judge does not accept the basis, please can you also provide me with the dates to avoid for
the witnesses.
