Dear Steve,
Ihave rearranged the conference with John Gibson for Tuesday 17th July at 3.30pm as requested.
Andrea mentioned at the hearing that both Solicitors indicated that they were intending to plead not
guilty to the charges despite
their apparent admissions.
I don't think that this could have anything to do with the independant Horizon review as this case
relates to simple cheque suppression as opposed to any audit trail ect.
However, in light of this indication it may be prudent to fill any potential gaps in our case at this
time and to that end a statement from Animals in Need would be useful. This should cover the
deposit of cheques at the branch generally and with particular reference to SB/3 to SB/45, that they
had noticed a delay in the crediting of their account and monies outstanding and raising the issue
with POL. That they did not give anyone permisson to delay the processing of their cheques. It looks
from the giros that they have all been deposited by the same person, so a statement from that person
in addition if necessary confirming they paid in these cheques and cash would be useful.
Let me know if you have any queries.
Andrew Bolc
