The full case file has been returned from the lawyers and this is the file that is lost. We believe the lawyers may still
have the initial briefing papers and we are getting hold of these, however these may duplicate the information you
already have. I'll talk to Angela tomorrow, but I think she is referring to the information we had scanned on Jo
Hamilton which looks a bit like a legal file.

Thanks for the Jo Hamilton update. Angela seemed to suggest that she saw the file in Old Street rather than the other
locations you mentioned. Is that a possibility?
Also, I would have expected that one of the external lawyers or the Court would have retained a copy. Can a copy be
obtained that way?

Regarding the Jo Hamilton case file, that is the one that we couldn’t recover. The audit trail shows that it was

retrieved from Achieves and sent to RGM Victoria Embankment. The legal team moved from Victoria Embankment to
Rathbone. However the file cannot be found in either location. We spent June — July actively looking for it but to no
effect.
We'll give you an update on the other cases shortly.

Re Jenny O'Dell. We are talking about different sets of documents. I have the documents from Rod Ismay — that’s not
the issue. What I am missing is a scanned copy of the file that is in Susan’s safe. This needs to be scanned and OCR’d
as a matter of urgency.
Also, in our meeting with Angela Van Den Bogerd in Bristol on Friday, she referred to a Court File for Jo Hamilton
which is quite different to the file that has been scanned. Angela thinks this will either be in Susan’s safe or with the
Prosecution team. Can this also be traced urgently and scanned and OCR’d.
Finally, I would be grateful for an update of the progress on tracing files for the other approved cases which are:

Both Alison Hall files are included in the scan — you will find the second file starts at Row 61 of the excel front end
entitled “File -POLTD/1011/0095 — Hall”
Regarding the 2 other cases. These were indeed included by mistake. The proposed course of action is:
I will arrange for another CD to be cut for you minus those 2 cases. I will contact you to arrange to exchange the
original for the new one, and please can I ask that you destroy any copies of the data you have made.
Please deal with me directly on any further requests for information/issues as the provision of this data has been
made my responsibility. I will escalate to management where I require their assistance.

I don’t know about the two additional ones. Chris is going to look into that. It maybe that we picked up them from the
safe by accident.
The Jenny O’Dell documents you saw before came from Rod Ismay in Chesterfield. They are not in the legal safe and
therefore not part of the scan. I’ve attached them again to confirm.

When I went through the physical case files with Chris Bhandari on 2 August I reviewed the following 5 physical files;
Jo Hamilton
Tracey Ann Merritt
Jenny O’Dell
Alison Hall ( 2 x files)
I have now compared this with the CD of scanned documents you gave me on 24 August.
The CD contains a total of 5 cases, 2 of which do not relate to the list of approved cases. The extra items are:
POLTD/1112/0137 — Samsudin Govani
POLTD/1213/0031 — Dominic Joseph
The other 3 cases on the CD are for Jo Hamilton, Tracey Ann Merritt and Alison Hall, however the items for Alison Hall
only seem to relate to 1 of the 2 physical files that I inspected. The CD does not contain any of the documents relating
to Jenny O’Dell.
Can someone do a detailed comparison between the scanned items and the physical files again and if necessary
arrange for the Jenny O’Dell file and the 2" Alison Hall file to be scanned and OCR’d?
