Purpose:
To discuss Pathway’s demonstrator plans for Design Assurance, following receipt (via Min) of their
WINDEM/DEMOI v1.0 document.
[This impromptu meeting was piggy-backed onto the end of the CCIG/Pathway meeting with Michael
Berg and Allyson Hughes discussing the CCI demonstrator strand. See CCI minutes for that
meeting.]
Items of Note:
1. Document from Pathway had given little details of demo activities and did not seem to address the
needs outlined in the “demonstrator requirements” paper given to them back in August. Their
document seemed to be purely based around addressing a small number of current risks.

3. Stated that DA do not expect to need many formal demos, more interested in interactive
sessions/reviews exploring specific issues in the design. Members of the DA team will attend
various of the other more formal demonstrator sessions in their other guises.
4. Pathway had asked whether (generally) attendees at demonstrator sessions were allowed to take
part (eg to use equipment) or whether they could only watch. Expressed view that DA would
definitely expect to have a “hands-on” approach.
