HORIZON: MEETING BETWEEN SIR DAVID WRIGHT KCMG LVO AND MR
NARUTO, FUJITSU AND CORRESPONDENCE 4 DECEMBER 1998
I attach for the Secretary of State, Mr McCartney and copy recipients’ infomation the
following documents:
(i) a note of a meeting between Sir David Wright, Ambassador in Japan and Mr Naruto,
Vice Chairman of Fujitsu and Chairman of ICL UK, Mr Sakai, Senior Vice President of
Fujitsu and Mr Yurino, Director of ICL UK;
(ii) a letter dated 4 December form Mr Naruto to the Ambassador; and
(iii) I a response from the Chief Secretary’s private secretary to the Ambassador advising
him not to say anything to Fujitsu about Horizon, other than to agree to pass on their
communications to London.
