Barry Vaughan introduced John Bartholomew, who has been appointed as Pathway
Release 2 Manager.
The purpose of this meeting was to review the status of previous action points.
1.0 Notes / Action Points from the meeting held on 10 April 1997
The Notes / Action Points were agreed with the following exceptions :
Page 3, below AP 3 - 7 - Move paragraph commencing “Bob Booth warned...” from
section 4.3 Quantum to section 4.1 Talexus.
Page 3 Section 4.3 Quantum - Amend first line to read “Following problems with
Landis & Gyr re security methodologies...”
2.0 Review Of Previous Action Points

API - 1 Version 0.3 of the RCD was issued. V0.4 _of the RCD will be issued on 14
April
Status: Pathways internal review of v0.4 identified the need for rework to improve
clarity and to cross refer to functional specs and not the SADD. The revised version
will be internally reviewed within Pathway on 24th April and formally issued to PDA
for review on 25th April.- action carried forward
API - 2 CAR 555.000.011 PDA responded on 4 April. With Pathway for sign-off

AP1 -8 Post Shops - PDA to clarify the situation with regards to additional service
requirements for release 2.

API -9 Three Methods Of Working - PDA to clarify the situation with regards to
service requirements for release 2.
Status: Bob Booth to check status and report back to next meeting- action

API - 11 Broadcasts _- G Siswick to check timetable to develop requirements with D

Status: Not an issue for Release 2. CAR due for June. POCL may want to slip this

Pathway have requested to discuss their proposed solution with two or three POCL
clients to ensure that the solution will work.
AP 4-3 B Booth to prime J Bruce, PDA re taking this forward with A Ward/ R
Smethurst
Pathway confirmed that three actions were required to take AP Client migration
forward. These were a) the production of a migration strategy for agreement with
PDA, b) development of the migration process and c), production of a migration plan.
Pathway asked if PDA could produce a ‘strawman’ on the sequence of AP Client
cutover
AP 4-4 B Booth to discuss request with J Bruce, PDA
AP 3-9 B Vaughan to speak to B Booth re data timings to HAPS outside of this
meeting

Status: First draft plan (covering EFTPOS, SAPP/ADS and National Savings)
produced by Dominic Barton. Bob Booth to review. Bob Booth will discuss the plan
within POCL. Action discharged
AP 4-6 A Morley to add responsibilities to plan and provide elctronic copy
when agreed to M Twidale for circulation to PDA/POCL attendees
AP 4-7 D Barton to respond to POCL on commercial proposals for various
options under EFTPOS by 2nd May
AP 4-8 B Booth to discuss the plan with POCL and report at next meeting
AP 3 - 13_ B Vaughan to check current activities to agree Mobile Configuration
solutions, and what (if anything) needs to be agreed for Release 2 RCD.
Status: Pathway have produced a proposed solution for mobile configurations which
is subject to commercial discussions with POCL. Action carried forward

3.0 Any Other Business
POCL sought information on an issue raised via TIP project ina memo from S
Woolley to M Purchase. It was POCL understanding that from Release 2 Pathway
would receive cash account mappings via POCL reference data to be used to generate
the cash account. POCL is seeking confirmation that this functionality is in Release 2
and included in the RCD. A copy of the minute was provided to J Bartholomew.
