1 Introduction
This Release Note provides the definition of the CSR+ Release.
The functionality of the Core System Release (CSR) was provided by CSR Live
Trial 2 level of software that has been implemented at existing live Post Offices
and is being implemented via the National Rollout programme.
CSR+ is an enhancement release that will be applied to the existing estate in the
immediate future, and to newly rolled out Post Offices in October.
The primary purposes of this upgrade are:
e Introduction of Key management System (KMS)enabling the dynamic
allocation and management of cryptographic keys for outlets
e The introduction of the CSR+ Applications
Logistics Feeder System
AP Smart cards
APS - TPS reconciliation
Direct connection to AP Clients
e Introduction of Riposte message server 6
2 Scope
This document defines the extent of the software changes to CSR, the platforms
affected, the outline upgrade actions and lists outstanding known problems
with the system and applications software.
3B Release Content
The contents of CSR+ Release were defined in ICL Pathway Core System Release
Plus Contents Description.
The level of CSR+ Release to be implemented corresponds to that definition as
modified by the approved Change Control Notes declared in Appendix A, being
all the changes committed for delivery at this level of release.

The technical enhancements to support the above facilities are:

6 User-related documentation
The Horizon system user guides have been changed to reflect the CSR+
product.
Additional training for existing outlets will be distributed by PON to advise
them of the changes at CSR+.
Each outlet will be informed of their target upgrade date and provided with an
APS Smart card for training purposes.

PON.

release at the point of field introduction are detailed in Appendix B.
Each issue has been allocated an ICL Pathway Business impact using a
categorisation agreed with PON. The categorisation is as follows:

This Appendix is divided into THREE sections:
* Section 1 reports those CCNs in the range 1 to 485 inclusive that were listed within
Addendum B of ICL Pathway Core System Release Plus, PA/STR/o13, Version 1.0,
2/7/99 (the RCD) and that were:

Columns 1 to 5 inclusive, including the shading in column 3
applicable to then unapproved items, are copied from the RCD. The
Resolution/Status Column records the current status and includes
the SADD head reference.

within Addendum C of the RCD and that were not associated with the Benefit
Payment Service.
Columns 1 to 6 inclusive are copied from the RCD. The
Resolution/Status Column records the current status.
* Section 3 reports those CCNs in the range 486 to the present that are
comprehended within CSR+. As yet unapproved CCNs are not comprehended in
CSR+. Columns 1 to 4 are based on the corresponding columns and rows from
SADD 5.4. Rows that are shaded in columns 1 to 4 denote CCNs that are not
comprehended in the functionality of CSR+ either because they are Rejected,
Withdrawn, or Approved but having no effect on functionality. In addition some
rows that are generally towards the end of the table are shaded because the CCN is
not yet Approved. Where the resolution column states “CSR+ dependency” the
CCN needs to be Approved in a timely manner to facilitate the orderly release of
