1.0 Introduction
1.1 Purpose
This release note describes the content of the software release, S90
1.2 Scope
This document defines the software changes and the platforms affected at release $90.
The S90 migration is described in the datacentre and counter migration strategies -
CS/STR/072 and CS/STR/073 respectively.
2.0 Dependencies
Dependencies are detailed in the following migration strategies:
e CS/STR/072 — S90 & S92 Data Centre Migration Strategy
¢ CS/STR/073 — $90 Counter and PINPad Migration Strategy
3.0 Technical Enhancements
3.1 New Hardware
The following new platforms will be installed prior to the main $90 Datacentre
migration:
e APOP Web Servers
3.2 New Databases
e Anew APOP Database will be built on the Horizon Host platform
¢ New APOP Databases will be built on the Reference Data Test Host platforms
3.3. Network Changes

The following changes will be made to the existing network configuration.
¢ Connection of the new APOP Web Servers to the Local Area Network
e Addition of the new APOP Web Server names to the DNS & NMS
¢ Reconfiguration of the Content Switch Module VIPs for the new APOP services

e Addition of new objects and rules to the external facing, internal facing and
Huthwaite Firewalls

¢ Reconfiguration of routing to include the new APOP Servers and Services

3.4 Changes to Existing Datacentre Platforms
The following major platforms will have changes applied during the S90 upgrade.

A small number of Domain Controllers, Servers and Workstations will receive an
upgrade to Secure NT related to the addition of the new APOP Web Servers to
the estate
