1am the person named above and am employed by Post Office Ltd, part of the Royal Mail
Group Pic, as an Investigator based in Eastleigh. Part of my responsibilities is to investigate
possible criminal offences against our business and its clients.
attended! GRO __..... which I understood to be the home address of a
Mr Julian Wilson the Postmaster of Astwood Bank Post Office. I can confirm that at between
11.11 hours and 12.08 hours I participated in a search of Mr Wilson's premises.
Following the searches I was present when Mr Thomas conducted a tape-recorded interview
with Mr Wilson, under caution in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
Codes of Practice. The interview commenced at 15.07 hrs and comprised of two master tapes,
which have the serial numbers, 50313 and 50314 and! now identify these items as GRT/4 &
GRT/S respectively.
The interview concluded at 16.33 hrs.
