I attach my comments and changes on the press notice and handling plan.
Questions:
- is the handling plan for circulation to the Board? If so while I would have Brunswick in my back pocket I
would never cite external media advice ahead of our own views: I feel v strongly that while their support is
helpful, no-one has better sense of this than our team
- Lalso disagree that the select committee is not a consideration: this is a bit complacent. As JA will be pushing
them at every opportunity, and as they can generate more publicity than SS, it must be a serious consideration.
So I have changed the wording on that
- Ihave added various elements to the statement and also changed the handling plan as I do think our report is v
important to this. After we go with this statement and handling, this is over in terms of wider comment; from
that moment on we hold the line and being able to refer back to the report is critical: it is THE report on this
process - further mediations are individual issues.
- I think we should write to the select committee on this rather than ring the chair.
