Thanks for getting back to me, you are now doubt on your way t
digest at your leisure.
0 I thought it simpler to email you so you can
The underprovisioning of subpostmasters compensation issue has worried BNR, perhaps disproportionately so. We
have sought to keep a lid on it and present it in the right way, which I think we have done, but nevertheless she would
like the Remuneration Committee to consider the matter and report back as to whether they feel any action is
appropriate. She is therefore going to send a letter to Ken, once he is in place, copying you and Carla. I would be
happy to share a draft in advance, it is quite short, and I think the way through this is for the RemCo to put incentives
in place on this sort of thing going forward rather than any retrospective action. She will no doubt want to discuss the
matter with you at your meeting next week.
Speaking of which, she will also be looking for a readout on Sparrow too. The firmer you can be on that, and the more
confidence you can give her, the better chance we have of putting the issue to bed. I’d be happy to chat when we see
each other on Friday if that would be helpful.
That’s all I really wanted to say over the phone, but thought it better to talk initially than sending an email, hence the
call. But no need to now call me unless you would still like to speak.
See you Friday.
