To ask the Secretary of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, what
recent assessment he has made of the performance of the Horizon computer
programme; and what (a) errors relating to the reconciliation of accounts were
reported and (b) remedial action was taken in the latest period for which figures are
available. (26688)
Draft Answer
The performance of the Horizon computer system is an operational matter for Post Office
Ltd.
I have therefore asked Paula Vennells, the managing director of Post Office Ltd, to
respond directly to the right hon. member and a copy of her reply will be placed in the
Libraries of the House.
