This case relates to a £36,644.89 audit deficit identified at South Warnborough Sub Post
Office Branch (SPOB) on 09 March 2006.
The Postmistress, Mrs Jo Hamilton was signed off from work by her doctor, the day before
the audit took place. I understand that Mrs Hamilton was signed off for four weeks, for
depression.
I have both spoken and written to Mrs Hamilton, inviting her to attend an interview, in
relation to the audit deficit. I have also spoken to Ms Izzy Hogg, Tanner & Taylor Solicitors,
advising her of this fact and that if Mrs Hamilton is deemed unfit to be interviewed then I
would require a letter from her doctor confirming this.
To date, an interview has not been arranged and I have not received a letter from Mrs
Hamilton's doctor.
I have today contacted Ms Hogg, who advised me that Ms Kate Taylor is now dealing with the
case. I have contacted Tanner & Taylor Solicitors and left a message asking Ms Taylor to
contact me.
Ihave also today, written another letter to Mrs Hamilton, asking her or her solicitor to contact
me to arrange an interview, or to send me a letter from her doctor stating that she is not fit
to be interviewed. I have given Mrs Hamilton until 21 April 2006 to respond.
These papers are now forwarded to.uou for siaht.and a review of the progress of this case.
