The above named Defendant appeared at Stafford Crown Court for
sentence on 19 January 2007, having pleaded guilty to the single
count Indictment at an earlier hearing on 15 November 2006. A
basis of plea was agreed as follows “The Defendant stole £94,000
from the post office having begun to do so on return from

holiday in August 2002.

The remaining deficit of £188,000 may

have been the result of incompetent accounting or possibly theft

by other person(s).” The Defendant was sentenced as follows:-
