Subject:

Good morning Steve,

Tattended Bradford Magistrates Court yesterday. Mr. Ishaq and his solicitor arrived later than
expected at 10.15 am. Mr. Ishaq's solicitor told me that his client denied any wrongdoing and that he
would therefore enter a not guilty plea. However when the case was subsequently called on, Mr.
Ishaq gave no indication of plea. The magistrates stated that the case was not suitable for a summary
trial and in those circumstances the case was adjourned for 8 weeks in order that the committal
papers may be prepared.

The next hearing will take place on 25th July 2012 at 10.00 am. Mr. Ishaq has been given
unconditional bail until 9.30 a.m, on that date.

I note that we already have statements of Umaair Liaquat (24/6/11), Andrew Wise (4/4/12), Kevin
Ryan (4/4/12), Kathleen Smith (8/5/12) and yourself (4/4/12). I note that your statement exhibits
SB/1 and SB/3 to SB/15. Please could you include in the committal bundle a further statement
exhibiting SB/21, the summary of stock sold and reversed, explaining how the information has been
derived and the effect of the various transactions ie to reduce the money needed to balance, the user
id's recorded for the transactions and that if Mr. Liaquat had been responsible for the transaction of
24th November 2010, Mr. Ishaq would have had a significant surplus in his accounts that Wednesday
effectively putting him on notice that something untoward had happened.

Although the court has made no formal direction with regard to the service of the committal papers, I
would like to be able to serve the papers at least 7 days before the next hearing to avoid the
possibility of an application by the defence to adjourn the case.

Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Martin.

Martin Smith
