Mick,
We have just received a sum of £3,600.00 from Mr Thomas via Legal Services/ Criminal Law Division.
Taking into account this repayment, we still have a debt of £46,647.59 owing from Mr Thomas.
Would you please advise if any further payments are can expected from Mr Thomas in the near future
or is the £3,600 the extend of his assets that can be taken from him.
My understanding of these types of cases is that there would little point in our pursing the balance from

Mr Thomas further (i.e. civil proceedings) as, under the terms of the POCA, his financial circumstances
would be monitored from time to time throughout his lifetime and, should his circumstances take an
upturn, he would automatically be liable to repay us more towards the outstanding debt.
Can you confirm this please?

A Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 Confiscation Hearing will take place in respect of Mr Thomas at
Caernarfon Crown Court on the 20th April 2007. Mr Thomas has sold his house to his son and I am
asking the court to deal with that as a "tainted gift"as I believe it was undersold by about £57,000. I will
let you know the outcome.
