Mr Thomas has pleaded guilty to charges in relation to the shortages at Gaerwen and is due to be
sentenced this coming Monday, Nov 6th.

Diane,
Mr Thomas currently owes £50,257.89 to PO Ltd in respect of a final account shortage (£48,454.87) and a
Cheques To Processing error (£1,803.02).
I have written to Mr Thomas on 16th June 2006 and again on 23rd August 2006 seeking proposals for
repayment but have received no reply. I am about to send him a final demand before referring to Legal
Services to pursue the matter further.
I note from my records that I spoke to you about this case in June 06 and it was thought at the time that
Mr Thomas was to appear in Court in September and that a ‘Not Guilty’ plea was anticipated.
Before I send a final letter to the former Postmaster perhaps you would say if there has been any
developments regarding the Court case.
