I have been employed by Fujitsu Services, Post Office Account, formally ICL Pathway Ltd.,
since the 22"? September 2003 as Security Manager where I am responsible for the Information
Security relating to the computer system known as Horizon, which is a computerised
accounting system used by Post Office Ltd. I am the authorised holder of the records of training
of Post Office personnel on the Horizon system which was carried out by KnowledgePool Ltd
on behalf of Fujitsu Services.

I have been asked to provide, from the information available to me, details regarding Horizon
training undertaken by staff employed at the Brookfield SPSO — FAD Code 181704. In
particular I was asked to detail any training undertaken by Mr Alan Mclaughlin who is recorded
as having attended the following Horizon training on the dates shown below:

21% July 1998 — Mr Alan Mclaughlin attended the Management Infrastructure Briefing, this was
a half day briefing on the introduction of the Horizon system into Post Office Ltd.

34 August 1999 — Mr Alan Mclaughlin attended the User Awareness Training, this was a half
day event identifying the Horizon system components, completion of the Post Master Log-on
process, logging-on, navigation of the desktop and menu system, an overview of the Order
Book Control Service

13" September 1999 — Alan Mclaughlin attended the Horizon for Counter Managers Training,
this was a two day course detailing An Introduction to Horizon, EPOSS 1 and 2 Electronic Point
Of Sales Service, EPOSS 3 Scales, OBCS Order Book Control Service, APS Automated
Payment Service, Functions of the Horizon System, Help and Basic Maintenance, Office
Administration and Balancing using the Horizon System.

A synopsis of the course content and objectives for the Horizon for Counter Managers Training
Course, which mirrors the Horizon Training Workbook issued to delegates on the training
course, exists in a hardcopy format within training documents and materials held by me. A
copy of the Horizon Training Workbook should also be held within every Post Office. I now
produce the training synopsis marked with the identifying mark WLM/12.

Any records to which I refer to in my statement form part of the records which are either held on
computer or archived. These records relate to the training of Post Office Staff on the use and
operation of the Horizon Computer System. These records were compiled during the ordinary
course of business from information supplied by persons who have or may reasonably be
supposed to have personal knowledge of the matter dealt with in the information supplied, but
are unlikely to have any recollection of the information or cannot be traced. As part of my
duties, I have normal access to these records.
