Patricia Fegan was re-Arraigned today and pleaded guilty to “Fraud by False Representation” and “False
Accounting”. The Defence were asked to submit a Pre-Sentence report by 20/03/17 and she will be sentenced on
21/03/17. I'll keep you posted re the outcome of this.

Damien phoned last week to say that Pat has pleaded to False Accounting!!

I had a meeting with one of our senior managers over in GB dealing with the Horizon issue and
can report the following:

e Regarding the Andy Winn, Relationship Manager, letter to Damien dated 7 August 2014,
this was in response to a specific query from Damien and not Post Office Ltd. Unless you
have disclosure issues around this matter I believe that it is a distraction from the
investigation of Pat. If you do wish to pursue this letter then can I suggest that you obtain
the original request that Damien made to Mr Winn!

e Interms of the integrity of the Horizon system, if the defence have any issues they wish
to raise then they need to be specific; I can confirm that Post Office Ltd are absolutely
confident in the integrity of the Horizon system and I am awaiting a corporate response
from our solicitors office.

Hi Simon

Sorry to bother you again about this. Damian was in with me this morning and I am now physically and emotionally
exhausted!! We went through the exhibits to get a better overview of what exactly they prove if anything for the
purposes of court proceedings.

Along with a wee line from you re the ‘Horizon system’ and clarification of any previous investigations/reported
discrepancies re Drumintee Post Office, I have attached a letter from Andy Winn the Relationship Manager for Post
office Ltd that he sent to Damian in reply to Damian’s request for a complete check to be done of all the transactions in
his Post office to confirm wither or not the shortage could be a computer error of any kind. Damian put in his statement
that he was left in no doubt after receiving the attached letter that the discrepancy was NOT a computer error.

The PPS are asking if Mr Winn can explain more clearly his findings and the implications of these findings. I would have
tried contacting Mr Winn myself, but there are no contact details on his letter.
